Richard Sullivan Little and his wife Angeline were the original settlers of Littleton. They were headed west working on irrigation systems and thought this was an ideal place to settle. They, and numerous neighbors built the Rough and Ready flour mill in 1867 and it is still present today! Littleton is comprised of a small main street that is bordered on the West by Santa Fe, the East on Broadway while only 9 miles south of Downtown Denver. This area is often referred to as “Old Littleton” since unincorporated Littleton stretches for miles in either direction. Interesting shops can be found close by at Aspen Grove and fun restaurants like Café Terracotta make Littleton a fun community to spend the afternoon.
